String Camp
Join us for our annual string camp! Students will enjoy immersive rehearsals, fun projects, diverse workshops to help them develop their skills, and of course snacks! Registration will open on May 9th!

Bus Tour 2026
20 to 25 of our advanced students load up on a bus and spend the school day traveling to elementary schools and other organizations performing excerpts from our spring repertoire. This is a busy and fun-filled day!
Rhapsody, DYSO, and Chamber resume
All three groups resume rehearsals at their regularly scheduled times.
Decatur Fanfare
The third annual Decatur Fanfare will feature Decatur Youth Symphony’s very own faculty! Come to the ACA Recital Hall for a relaxing evening of enjoyable music!
String Camp
Join us this year for a fun-filled string music camp! Beginners to advanced students welcome! Each student will build their own ukulele this week as well as participate in special workshops and rehearsals to jump start their fall music programs. Fill out the google form below to reserve your spot. Cost is $50 for the week.
Yea! Decatur
Come here a stage full of talented, young musicians perform their spring repertoire they have worked so hard to share! Free admission.
Rehearsals Resume
Prelude 1 resumes on the 13th at 4pm.
Prelude 2 resumes on the 14th at 4pm.
Rhapsody resumes on the 14th at 5pm.
DYSO resumes on the 14th at 6pm.
Concert Chamber resumes on the 14th at 7:30pm.
The Decatur Fanfare
Parking is available in the Turner-Surles lot, along Sycamore St (but not in front of any residents), and at First Missionary Baptist Church.
String Camp
All students from beginner to advanced are welcome! This free camp will meet from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Monday-Friday. On Friday family and friends are invited to attend the student showcase at 12:30pm. The camp is free. Instruments are provided to any students who don’t have their own.
