The annual YEA Decatur Spring Concert will take place on April 29 at 1 PM. The concert will be held at First Baptist Church, Decatur. The concert is free and open to the public.

The YEA Decatur concert was developed in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Decatur Daybreak and the YEA (Young Emerging Artists) Decatur program. This concert features all of the main string ensembles, the percussion ensemble, and smaller student ensembles. Students that are participating in DYS “Breakfast with the Classics” and “Afternoon with the Classics” programs will join the larger main ensembles during this concert. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to see almost all of the students that DYS serves.

Prior to the concert, Decatur Youth Symphony will host free string workshops. These workshops will include beginning strings, intermediate/advanced strings, and percussion. These workshops are open to the public, and area music students are encouraged to attend.
